Warmhill Farm - South Devon Self Catering Cottage
Warmhill Farm is nestled in the South Devon countryside on the slopes of the Teign Valley in probably one of the most beautiful and enchanting areas of the West Country. The Farm first mentioned in 1086 as part of the Doomsday book census is still to this day a working farm, breeding mainly Pedigree Ayrshire cattle along with some rare breeds. The farm house is a 15th century thatched converted traditional long barn, relaxing and cool in summer, warm and inviting in winter and comfortable and unique all year round.
Next to the owner’s home, this delightful thatched farmhouse has an enclosed garden opening onto the farmyard. Children will love the galleried bedrooms and they are encouraged to help with the animals. Bring wellies for the farm! There is a nature trail, and visitors are free to wander over the farmland which has an abundance of wildlife.
Hennock, a farming village, is a 10-minute walk up the lane with the Palk Arms, a traditional village pub that serves great food - http://www.theonlypalkarms.co.uk. Bovey Tracey with several shops, pubs and restaurants, and Cantonteign Falls, reputed to be the highest waterfall in England, are both within 2 miles.
